Azizi Tuere · Let Your Light Shine Press
Effective 23 August 2026 · Last updated 23 August 2026

This privacy policy explains how Azizi Tuere, publishing as Let Your Light Shine Press ("we", "us", "our"), handles personal information in connection with the website azizituere.com and the tools we use to run our publishing and advertising activity.

We are an independent children's book author and publisher. We do not sell personal information, and we collect as little of it as we can.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact messages. If you use our contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you submit, so that we can reply.
  • Mailing list. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and, where you provide it, your first name. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics we use may record standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type and referring site. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

2. How we use information

  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To send our newsletter, if you have asked to receive it.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and to improve it.
  • To operate and improve our own book advertising, as described in section 4.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

3. Sharing your information

We share personal information only with the service providers that make this site work — for example our website host and our email newsletter provider — and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

4. Amazon Advertising data and API access

We advertise our own books on Amazon. To manage that advertising, we operate a private, internal reporting and campaign-management tool that connects to the Amazon Ads API using Login with Amazon.

The following describes that tool in full:

  • Whose data it accesses. Only our own Amazon Advertising account. The tool does not access, request or receive data belonging to any other advertiser, seller, publisher or Amazon customer.
  • What data it accesses. Advertising campaign, ad group, keyword and product-targeting settings, together with the associated performance reporting for our own campaigns — for example impressions, clicks, spend, attributed sales and pages read.
  • What it does not access. It does not access, and cannot access, personal information about Amazon shoppers. Amazon's advertising reports are aggregated and contain no customer names, addresses, payment details or any other individual customer data.
  • Where the data is stored. Privately, on hardware controlled by us, for our own analysis. It is not published, sold, shared, licensed or transferred to any third party, and it is not used to build profiles of individuals.
  • Who uses it. Only us. The tool is single-user and internal. It is not offered, sold or made available to other advertisers as a service.
  • Authorisation and revocation. Access is granted by us, to ourselves, through Login with Amazon, and can be revoked at any time from our Amazon account settings.

We handle all Amazon advertising data in accordance with the Amazon Ads API licence agreement, the Amazon Ads Partner Network policies and the Amazon Ads acceptable use policy.

5. Children's privacy

Our books are written for children, but this website is intended for the grown-ups who buy them — parents, carers, teachers and librarians. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Cookies

Our website may use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function, and optionally for basic analytics. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though some features may behave differently.

7. How long we keep information

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep mailing list details until you unsubscribe. Advertising performance data relating to our own campaigns is retained for as long as it is useful for analysing our advertising.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. You may also object to certain uses, and you can withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law.

9. Links to other sites

Our website links to external sites, including Amazon and other booksellers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
